Harrell & Nowak successfully resolve woman’s life insurance claim

An Alabama man purchased life insurance through a credit card promotion.  The promotion would provide life insurance, and the premium owed would be billed to the credit card every month.  After charging the premium for several months, the life insurance company changed how it was identified to the credit card company causing the premium to go unpaid.  The life insurance company then attemted to cancel the policy.  When the insured man objected and tried to pay the premium the life insurance company refused – instead they told him to apply for a new policy.  The insured could not get a new life insurance policy because he had been diagnosed with cancer.  He explained this to the insurance company, and demanded his original valid insurance be reinstated.  The insurance company refused.  During the dispute, the man died.  His aunt who was the listed beneficiary continued the dispute.  Finally, she hired the insurance lawyers at Harrell & Nowak.  H&N filed a lawsuit demanding payment under the policy.  The insurance company and adjusters agreed to settle the case and pay the aunt.
