Today, Harrell & Nowak began a jury trial in a case where a roofer took over 8,000 volts of electricity after coming into contact with an electrial line.  The roofing company and general contractor had noticed what they thought were low lines, and contacted two weeks before the accident.  The power company never measured the line, nor did it shut off the line, raise the line, or insulate the line.  Nothing was done, and the roofer made contact at the same place and between the same two poles.  The roofer suffered third-degree electical and arcing burns over 25% of his body.
