The nephew purchased life insurance offered through his credit card that required him to pay his premiums with the credit card. The life insurance company quit billing the card, and then told the man his policy had lapsed for nonpayment. As soon as he learned that this, he sent the premium to the company and asked them to continue to bill the credit card. But the insurance company refused to acdcept the premium, reinstate the policy, or issue a new one because he had recently been diagnosed with cancer.
